Microsoft Taiwan Sets Up Innovation Center in Taipei

Microsoft Taiwan announced on June 19 the establishment of the first Microsoft Innovation Center in Taiwan, Economic Daily News reported. Co-invested by Microsoft and Taiwan's MOEA (Ministry of Economic Affairs), the center is located in Nangang Software Park of Taipei.

It is projected that the Taipei center will be dedicated to the R&D of software engineering and next-generation web applications, and Microsoft expects to enlist 100 engineers worldwide, 20 from the United States, 50 from China, and 30 from Taiwan. The new Microsoft Innovation Center also plan to join hands with various Taiwanese companies, including ERA Digital Media, TrendMicro, and the III (Institute for Information Industry), according to Taiwan's Central News Agency.
